Eat out.
Drink up.
Still lose fat.

Useful for every social event: a client dinner, date night, wedding, even a pub session with the lads. I'll tell you exactly how not to obliterate your diet, without having to say no.

This is the exact plan I give my coaching clients before a social. Answer six questions and you'll get your numbers, your plans, and tell you what to eat around it. Takes 30 seconds.

No perfect week required. No skipping meals to "save room".

First, your numbers

Without these, any calorie advice is a guess. Takes twenty seconds.

You are
A normal week for you

How fast?

Pick the pace for the week this event falls in. The harder you push it, the less room there is on the night.

What's the occasion?

Different nights need different plans. A three course dinner isn't a session at the pub.

And the drinks

Be honest here. Not what you'd like to have. What you'll actually have.

Your usual
Count the ones you'll actually have, not the ones you'll admit to.

Your plan

Monday morning

Four rules for the night

  1. Log the event before you go. Put the whole estimate into your tracker in the morning. You eat around a number you've already committed to, instead of finding out afterwards.
  2. Pick two of four. Starter, main, dessert, drinks. Choose two. Want the drinks and the main? The starter and dessert stay off the table.
  3. Protein first, always. Order the meat or fish and build around it. You'll eat less later without trying.
  4. A water between every drink. Slows the night down, cuts the total, and Sunday is a different day entirely.

One night is easy

You can white knuckle a single Saturday. The hard part is doing this fifty two weekends a year, around work, kids and everything else, and still being leaner in six months.

That's the whole job in my coaching. If you want me to look at your situation properly, book a call and we'll go through it.

These numbers are an estimate based on the Mifflin St Jeor equation and standard drink values. They're a starting point, not a prescription.
